Write a script for a walk that gives the walker a series of invitations (for their consideration, for their perception, to sleuth, to remember — any of these forms would work). For each invitation, ask them to listen and then pause, take off their headphones, and complete the invited task to their satisfaction (or any other limiting parameter you’d like to set), and then to replace their headphones and unpause (or move to the next track) to hear their next invitation.
Consider the way that the sonic experience changes for the walker as they take time to listen to the audio, and then remove headphones to resume a full awareness of the acoustic environment they are in.
Think of each invitation as a frame for a small experience.
